I have been playing the lottery online for a few months, because after my op my hubby kept forgetting to buy a lottery ticket.
Received email from lottery yesterday, won £10 - okay not much but worth treating my daughter!
After getting blood done yesterday, I took nurse advice at the surgery and went to sainsbugs - nurse said they have a sale!!!

So along my daughter and I went to buy crayola felt tip pens that were on offer and some cheap note pads and bundle of white plain paper.......much cheaper than smiths.

Went to the bakers and got a cake!

This cheered my poorly daughter up..........and a bit of bribery - she screams when we get the penicillin out of the fridge, cries and stamps her feet!!
She takes a while to let us give her medicine for tonsilitis, then over until the next dose.

What made my heart melt yesterday was using her new felt pens, she wrote I love you mummy!! It made my day!

First lot of medicine done today.....no dramas (yet)!

She said have you won more money today, I said no why - because I would like an ipod like my daddys!! No pleasing some!

Morning Jane

Thanks for sharing your lovely lottery win story Smile and hope your daughter gets better very soon.

I remember when I was a little girl, some fifty years ago now Sad I would get tonsillitis every year and hence a course of penicillin. I was terrible for my mum as I just couldn t swallow tablets, so she gave me a spoonful of strawberry jam with the tablets popped inside - it still was awful. Even now if I have a spoonful of jam I can taste the tablets, never to be forgotten obviously.

I have trouble getting penicillin into my son. The latest trick that worked was a spoonful of sorbet, then a spoonful of antibiotic then another spoonful of sorbet.
It maybe worth a try. Good luck!
